Spiritual Beings Having a Human Experience

There are so many spiritual websites, blogs, social media accounts on the Internet that it is astonishing. When I browse through what is available, I notice that most talk about how you can get brighter spiritual experiences as a human being. When you want to reduce spirituality to that, then you are missing the point.

All the Awakened Ones, the Masters who have been among us, talk about leaving the human identity behind. About remembering the Christ, the Buddha, or the Real Self That We are. Or, as Pierre Teilhard de Chardin stated it, “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.”

Jesus has mentioned in the famous spiritual classic, A Course In Miracles, that we do not ask for much, but in fact, we ask for far too little. When we reduce our spiritual experiences to things that are related to the body, to the personality, we don’t expand to having a full Awakening to Oneness.

It is all about letting go of the world, the body, the personality, and turning to the Divine for help with remembering the Truth that shall set us free. What Truth? That we are spiritual beings temporarily caught in a human experience. That we can wake up from this human experience to our Divinity. That That is our God-given birthright! YAY!
