The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory

At this moment there are approximately 2.6 billion Christians on the planet. And I have to say, the teachings from Jesus, as recorded in the Bible, are truly amazing. They can really help us do our part in repairing the relationship with Our Heavenly Father, to find lasting happiness once again.

Recently, I was contemplating the Lord’s Prayer, especially the sentence, “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,...” So many Christians pray this beautiful prayer. Yet I still believe that the full meaning and implications of this prayer are not clear to everyone.

Personally, I am convinced that when we pray, “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,...” that God Himself is listening, and answers with something like, “Yes, that’s right, and You are my Beloved Children, and all that I have is Yours! I want to share My Kingdom, my Power and my Glory with all of My Creation! It belongs to All of Us!”

Jesus was very clear in the Bible. He stated that this planet is not Our Father’s Kingdom. That we have to be born again in the Spirit to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. That He has prepared a way for us, and went before us to Our Father, Who welcomes us back Home. And, Jesus wants us to follow Him!

We are saved by faith through Grace. How? By trusting in the Lord and not leaning on our own understanding. By opening up to the Grace of God, to lift us above our perceived circumstances, so we can experience again the Peace of God, which passeth all understanding. We will no longer sleep. Resurrection!

The great tragedy is that many Christians believe they should just lead a good life as human beings, and that when this life is finished, they will be taken into higher dimensions. Yet Jesus states that we have to give up this life, pick up our cross, and follow Him! To do the same things He did, even greater things!

So, what are we to do? We should let go of our current understanding and open up for the Grace, Wisdom, Power and Love of the Holy Trinity, to help us remember the Truth That will set us free. Not in the future, but right now. To follow Jesus, Who is with us even until the end of the world.

How will you know that all of this is true? By taking a leap of faith, by praying, and then listening, learning, and following. By training yourself to be aware of the still, small voice within and the Divine Presence, which are both always available to those who have ears to hear. Then you will realize that you are not alone now, and never have been.

Ask and you shall receive. Knock and the door will be opened. Seek and you shall find. In fact, it is all really simple. All it takes is a bit of willingness. The willingness to give up your own ways, and to turn to God to show you His ways. Then, He will bless you with His Power and Glory, and remind you that you are part of His Kingdom. Hallelujah!
